The Hunter Solar Sync ET Sensor is a great way to upgrade your existing Hunter controller to a weather based system. Solar Sync works by adjusting run times daily based on weather conditions measured by the sensor. The Solar Sync sensor measures the sun’s intensity and the surrounding temperature, takes that data, and adjusts the irrigation schedules accordingly to provide the optimum amount of water to your landscape. There is no monthly subscription fee for this system as there are with other weather based systems.
The Solar Sync system includes the weather sensor and a module that is mounted at the controller. Certain model controllers do not need the module, since the programming ability is built into the unit itself. The wireless option has a separate receiver that needs to be installed at the controller as well. The system also includes a built-in rain sensor that turns the system off when it detects rain.
Solar Sync can be added on to the following model controllers:
- X-Core
- Pro-C/PCC
- I-Core
- ICC
- ACC
If we’ve already installed the Solar Sync system at your location and you are looking for further information, please watch the following videos for programming instrucations. You can also view or download the owner’s manuals by clicking on the following links:
